Ethanol Packaging
ISO TANK CONTAINERS
Size: 25,000 – 26,000 L
All filled to 95% capacity for safety.
ISO TANK CLEANLINESS
Clean tanks eliminate the risk of contamination and RP has therefore developed a 5-step quality control system specifically to ensure ISO tank cleanliness.
Step 1 - Professional Wash
All tanks are professionally cleaned by approved cleaning
stations and undergo the following process:
・ high-pressure wash (3D movement; pressure: 80 bar)
・ external washing
・ cold and warm water wash; damping
・ environment-friendly waste-water cleaning and disposal
Step 2 - All Tank Openings are Sealed (1)
Each cleaned tank is sealed before leaving the cleaning station to ensure it remains clean en route to the ethanol point of loading. A cleanliness certificate is issued for each tank.
Step 3 - Pre Loading Wall Wash
On arrival at the point of loading, the tank is further inspected by the QC on duty and rinsed with fresh ethanol of the same quality that is to be loaded. The tank is then drained.
Step 4 - Analysis of Wall Wash Ethanol
The drained ethanol that was used to rinse the tank is analysed by the QC for odour, visible impurities and turbidity. Provided the QC approves, the tank is now ready to be loaded with ethanol.
Step 5 - All Tank Openings are Sealed (2)
To ensure the ethanol reaches the customer in perfect condition, each opening is sealed with a tamper evident numbered seal. The seal numbers are recorded in the B/L to allow for checking on arrival.
HDPE DRUMS
New HDPE drums are used with a Tare weight of 9.0 - 9.5kg
Each drum is filled to 98% capacity for safety, and available in two sizes:
・ 210L (~165kg)
・ 250L (~202kg)
All drums are certified as made from 100% virgin HDPE only, suitable for food applications and all solvents and chemical storage. Certified free of:
・ Di(2-ethylnexyl) phthalate (DEHP)
・ Di-isodecyl Phthalate (DIDP)
・ Dioctyl Phthalate (DINP)
・ Di-n-buthyl Phthalate (DBP)
・ Buthyl denzyl Phthalate (BBP)
STEEL DRUMS
Steel drums are made of 18 gauge thick steel suitable for ethanol storage.
